GATE 2021 – Exam Dates, Eligibility, Online Registration and Application Form Fees
GATE Exam is the biggest national-level entrance examination that holds a lot of weightage when it comes to decide where you are going to do your higher studies and/or where you will subsequently do your job. Major PSU’S (Public Service Undertakings) take the GATE exam scores into account when employing new personnel into their company. So, a good GATE result means that you can easily get placements in any government job of your choosing or admissions in Top IIT / IISc Colleges.
GATE Exam 2021, IIT Bombay ((Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay) will be the GATE 2021 organizing institute. IIT Bombay has released the official GATE 2021 Notification with detailed GATE 2021 Information brochure along with relaxed GATE eligibility, GATE exam dates, and the updated GATE 2021 Syllabus. The GATE exam 2021 will be conducted on the following dates - Friday 5th, Saturday 6th, Sunday 7th, Friday 12th, Saturday 13th, and Sunday 14th February 2021. In these GATE 2021 exam dates, there are two sessions (forenoon and afternoon) each day to write the GATE 2021 examination. The GATE exam 2021 will be a fully computer-based exam of 3 hours duration and will consist of 65 questions totaling up to 100 marks.
IIT Bombay has announced that GATE Aspirants can now write the GATE 2021 Exam for 27 Exam Papers, and the students can select a maximum of 2 GATE papers to attempt. A GATE Aspirant might appear either in ONE or TWO subject papers. For the students who select the TWO GATE papers, the subject combination must be from the approved list of combinations from IIT Bombay and subject to the availability of infrastructure and GATE exam 2021 date.
Environmental Science and Engineering [ES], and Humanities and Social Sciences are the two new GATE papers added in GATE Exam 2021 in this session.
GATE 2021 Exam Pattern
IIT Bombay has made several changes in the GATE Exam 2021 pattern of questions. All the test papers of GATE exam 2021 will be completely objective type. The new GATE exam pattern of questions will include a new category of questions Multiple Choice Questions (MSQ), while the remaining questions might include Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or Numerical Answer Type Questions (NAT).

IIT Bombay will be conducting the GATE exam for the 6th time, with the most recent ones in 2005 and 2013.

GATE Application Form 2021
Before starting the GATE 2021 form filling process, the GATE aspirant must ensure that he/ she meets the eligibility criteria of the GATE 2021 Exam.
GATE 2021 Exam Applications will be accepted ONLINE only through the GATE Online Application System (GOAPS). Only those Engineering Students who have registered for the GATE 2021 exam will be eligible for the GATE examination. GATE 2021 Application Form will be made available for all GATE Aspirants on the official website of IIT Bombay from 14th September 2020.
Note: Depending on the COVID-19 situation, the schedule of the GATE 2021 exam might change or get postponed by IIT Bombay. All updates regarding any changes will be announced on their GATE Exam Official Website (http://gate.iitb.ac.in).

Who all are eligible for the GATE 2021 Exam? – Check the GATE 2021 Eligibility Criteria
There is NO age limit to appear for the GATE exam 2021.
GATE 2021 Conducting body IIT Bombay has relaxed the eligibility criteria for the GATE 2021 Examination. GATE 2021 Eligibility criteria is relaxed from the minimum of 10+2+4 (ongoing) to a minimum of 10+2+3 (ongoing). So, as per this new GATE 2021 eligibility criteria, an engineering student who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program OR has already completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is now eligible to appear for the GATE 2021 exam. It will now enable even those in the third year of their undergraduate studies to appear for the GATE examination.GATE 2021 Eligibility
