I took up mechanical coaching at THE GATE ACADEMY as there is no separate coaching for Engineering Sciences in India and Mechanical and Engineering sciences have more or less common topics.
I feared that cracking GATE would be very difficult because I started my preparations very late but the counsellors and teachers guided me very judiciously and advised me to concentrate more on aptitude and maths and at the same time not to ignore the other sections. The classes boosted my confidence to a major extent and I myself use to dedicate three hours per day for the preparation. Most of the faculties in The GATE Academy were GATE toppers themselves and therefore they easily related to our weaknesses and problems and presented the solution in very easy steps which made even the toughest of the problems look like a child’s play. The Mock tests provided the right simulation for the GATE exam and the analysis provided was a ready reckoner of my performance and progress. |

I am Praveen. I got AIR 1 in Instrumentation stream. I want to dedicate this to my parents and to the Gate Academy faculty. Gate Academy coaching helped me tremendously to update myself continuously. I was very impressed with the way they taught each topic in different sessions with separate material for each session. I was completely blank on certain subjects when I joined the institute, but this mode of coaching helped me to learn these topics with ease. I want to thank particularly Ranjit Sir, the way he started the opening class ‘Networks’ really instilled in me a lot of passion towards GATE. The way the previous year’s questions was organized into different topics has helped me understand the extent of toughness of GATE and prepare for it. In my view the sessions’ materials and the organized previous years’ question booklet are more than enough to get the complete knowledge in any particular subject. The 10 model test papers are simply superb – the fact is GATE 2010 is very easy compared with any of these 10 model papers. The only thing I did in the last 20 days is revision of the topics plus model paper on every alternate day. Even though it is the first year since the establishment of the institute, they showed the way how IISc alumnus can organize as if they had a lot of experience in this. I want to thank Nitin Sir for his valuable counselling to decide between EC or IN paper in GATE. I want to thank Neeraj Sir for his continuous pains for his continuous support. I want to thank each of my faculty Ranjit Sir, Srinivas Sir, Sudeep Sir. The entire IISc alumni in GATE Academy have given me a chance to get into IISc, and without the hard work and guidance of the faculty it wouldn’t have made this possible. Thanks a lot once again! |

Hi, I am Deep. I got AIR 11 in EC. I had subscribed for the all India test series. The 10 mock gates before the actual GATE were of great help. Well, as they say “Practice makes perfect”. And I really got a lot of practice from those papers. I can think of at least 1 question that was asked in one of those papers and was there in GATE. And I can think of several more which though not the same, tested the same concepts or were based on the same trick. Well I could go on & on, but the point is that without THE GATE ACADEMY this rank wouldn’t have been possible.

I had enrolled for the “Postal Test Series” at ‘THE GATE ACADEMY’ for GATE 2011. It was held just weeks before the GATE exam. The tests gave me a very accurate understanding of the type, pattern and style of questions asked in GATE. A couple of questions asked in GATE 2011 were very similar to the ones I attempted in the tests. The solutions of the tests provided were very detailed and self-explanatory. Attempting the tests highlighted my weak areas and helped me to improve on them. The module tests and the full-length tests covered all the possible type of questions that could have been asked in the exam. Solving the tests gave me immense level of confidence for the real exam. Looking for better opportunities after B Tech instead of a job led me to decide GATE Exam as the next hurdle which would open doors to better/more avenues.
I took up classroom training at The GATE Academy and they have amazing set of faculties who make even the toughest of topics look very simple. The style of delivery of classes and the approach to the problem solving techniques helped me a lot in the actual GATE exam. The material provided by The GATE Academy was very good, although I must admit that the set of books can be held as benchmark and be used for preparation of the exam but more thorough study through regular course books is also required. The Mock test series provided replicated the actual GATE exam and boosted my confidence a lot and they have amazing post mock analysis.
Few suggestions to GATE aspirants: put stress on your strong topics but do not leave the weak ones, do not take maths and aptitude lightly (these topics will give you almost 30% of the total marks), revise as many times as possible. |

The materials provided by The GATE Academy were very helpful in understanding the basic concepts. The descriptive solutions to complex problems helped me to get the logic which should be applied to similar type of problems. Most importantly the chapter wise assignments, sectional and module tests were really of great use. Also the online test series was very beneficial. The tests covered wide varieties of questions from all subjects and provided a real exam scenario. It made me realize how much tough an actual GATE paper can be. But the paper was much easier than the papers of online test series.
Thanks to the The GATE Academy which served as a catalyst for me to get a good score in GATE 2011.

Their teaching is very good, material was well organized. The Gate Academy has been hugely responsible for my good score in Gate. I previously appeared for Gate exam but this time Gate Academy helped me put that extra bit of effort. The classroom coaching and the material provided is very well planned and organized. The material is designed in such a way that the right amount of stress is put on the right topics. The assignments and previous year questions after every chapter are helpful in identifying your areas of weakness. The faculty also helped me in deciding how to divide my time among the various topics. But finally what is most important and helpful are the test series. The test series are what helped me prepare at the very last moment. The difficulty level of the different tests and analysis of each test helps you stay focused on your goal.

I’m Anandruban, and My AIR is 771, I’m a correspondence student of GATE academy. Gate academy materials are perfect for any one to start with the preparation; it’ll give an idea of difficulty standard of gate and as well provide solutions for the same, which will help us to learn the best. The time of delivery of Packages is nicely planned. When the GATE nears, a master book will be given, its really a master piece, it’ll be so useful in the the last minute revision, and another booklet is a question bank for all subjects which will really give a fine practice in the last minute. I feel like I’ve missed the classroom coaching, which is really a loss to me.But I was allowed to attend the classes, the faculties will give all the possibilities of a particular problem type that can be asked in GATE, so we’ll get a complete knowledge and we can excel in gate. GATE academy with its centers all across the country, their Test series will give us a good experience and we’ll feel GATE as one of the test series, and the standard of test series will be higher than GATE standard, so Gate will look easier after attending the test series, they will calculate our Rank, since these tests are conducted all over the country we’ll get approximately same rank in the GATE exam too. Gate academy, with IISc and IIT alumni’s is a cleverly planned coaching center, which exactly knows what is required for GATE. So if one is determined to excel in GATE, the resources of gate acdemy prove to be the best and will be helpful to the max. |

The material provided by ‘The Gate Academy’ for the different subjects were very good. The questions from the previous GATE papers that were given at the end of each chapter were helpful. It helped me to understand the type of the questions that could be asked from the topic. The module test booklet was helpful to identify the subjects in which I faced difficulties and enabled me to concentrate on those subjects.
