Ultrasonic Machining is a mechanical type of non-traditional machining process. It is employed to machine hard and/or brittle materials (both electrically conductive and non-conductive) having hardness usually greater than 40RC (Hardness on Rockwell scale-C). It uses a shaped tool, high frequency mechanical motion and slurry.
