Measurements is the science of the quantifying the physical variables. Classical example for this is the metering of power in our houses. Every house has an energy meter for billing the current we consume. To design measuring instruments like this, we need to understand the science of measurements and the governing principles for measuring these variables. In this course, we are dealing with the principles of measuring electrical and electronic variables. These include measurement of Current / Voltage / Power / Energy. We also learn Bridge circuits, Phase and frequency measurement using CRO.
This subject contains marks weightage of 6 to 7 in GATE Electrical Engineering & Instrumentation Engineering. This course contains gate study material for this subject which includes online recorded video lectures, online test series, e-books prepared by IIT and IISc graduates.
