Computer Organization and Architecture is a fundamental course for CSE, it deals with the study of the behavior and structure of the different building blocks of a computer system. The student will learn concepts of performance evaluation, memory organization, and instruction set architecture (ISA) designs, computer arithmetic, data path and control unit design of processors and enhancing performance of the processors with pipelining and finally ends up with I/O – organization.
Design architecture for an electronic digital computer with subdivisions of a central arithmetic part, a central control part, a memory to store both data and instructions, external storage, and input and output mechanisms.
This subject contains marks weightage of 6 to 8 for Computer Science and Engineering. This course contains gate study material for Computer Organization and Architecture which includes online recorded video lectures, online test series, e-books prepared by IIT and IISc graduates.
