Compiler Design is a phase of a language processing system. It translates a language written in high level into the low level optimized machine language that is required by the computers. In this subject, we learn various phases (typically seven) of compiler like syntax analysis which is responsible for parsing, detecting syntax errors. It deals with several fields or areas like text processing, speech processing etc.. The most known compilers are ALEX, HLP84, LINGUIST, MUG, YACC, COCO AND COCO-2.
This course contains marks weightage of 3 to 4 in GATE computer science. This course contains gate study material for Compiler Design which includes online recorded video lectures, online test series, e-books prepared by IIT and IISc graduates.
