Gate Exam 2019: IIT Madras Releases GATE Application Status – Get all the information here!
More than 8 Lakh students appear for the GATE exam every year that is conducted for 24 papers.
GATE is a national level all India examination administered and conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and Technology. It’s conducted every year, for granting admission to M.Tech. & PhD programs offered at IITs and IISc, including PSU’s for recruitment purpose.
Before the IIT madras release the admit card for GATE, they have released a list of applications accepted and rejected for GATE 2019 exam.
Authorities have asked the candidates who have filled the GATE 2019 application form to check the status of their application in the released lists.
The applications of GATE 2019 candidates are rejected mainly because they are found to be duplicated or they are not meeting the eligibility requirements.
There are 3 different lists released indicating the application status of the candidates i.e. Provisional List, Rejected List and Duplicate List.
1. Provisional List - 1118 Applications are provisionally accepted by the authority. It contains the enrolment Id’s of students who have made mistakes in their application forms, which can be corrected. All the students under this list will receive an email from the authority to correct their mistakes. It’s also notified that examination results will be withheld with the authority till these candidates rectify the mistakes by February 15, 2019.
2. Rejected List – 140 candidates are rejected by the authority. This list contains the roll number of those candidates who have made mistakes which cannot be corrected.
3. Duplicate List – Total of 585 duplicate applications are received. The list of rejected duplicate applications contains the Enrollment ID’s of candidates whose applications have been rejected because of multiple submissions of GATE 2019 application forms.
For all the candidates who do not have their roll numbers in the mentioned lists have will their application status approved by IIT Madras.
These GATE candidates can download their admit card issued online at GOAPS. The GATE Admit card will be available from January 04, 2019. To access the admit card, the candidates who have applied for GATE 2019 exam must login to the application portal by using their enrolment id and the password generated.
All the GATE candidates must download and take print of the GATE Admit Card. It’s mandatory for students to carry the GATE admit card to the examination hall.
Candidates are advised to carefully check details mentioned on the admit card, and in case of any discrepancies, they must immediately contact IIT Madras.
IIT Madras will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Exam for 2019 on February 2, 3 and February 9, 10. The result of the GATE 2019 Exam will be declared on 16th March 2019. The GATE 2019 score is valid for three years from the date of announcement of the results.
